THE WEREWOLF OF PARIS
The Werewolf of Paris by Guy Endore (1933) follows an anonymous American completing his Ph.D. as he investigates the life of Bertrand Caillet, a Parisian werewolf. Caillet, a descendant of the cursed Pitamont clan, was born to a Priest and an underage girl he assaulted. Caillet grows up having sadistic, sexual dreams that he eventually discovers are real. He transforms into a wolf in the night and commits unspeakable atrocities. Still, Bertrand is a romantic; when he finds a woman who is into his animalistic kinks, they stick together until their tragic end. But what if Bertrand was still looking for a wolf like him, literally or figuratively?
